There are definetely very special moments in history at which special timepieces accompanied the human achievement. One of these achivements was unfolded on Earth in 1978 when divers made their own “giant leap” 320 meters under the icy waters off Norway. In order to pay tribute to this special moment, Edox North Sea 1978 was released.
The case is in stainless steel black DLC and has the measurements of 43mm x 14mm. It has a sapphire crystal, a ceramic bezel, and it is water resistant to 320 meters.
The caseback has the engraved North Sea Divers’ official logo, a stylised dive helmet and the phrase “The Inverse Moon Landing”.
Powered by Swiss automatic Edox caliber 80A (base Sellita SW200) with 25 jewels, it operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph and has a power reserve of 38 hours.
The black dial has gilded hands and markers with SuperLuminova.
It comes on a black canvas strap with a steel black DLC buckle. An additional dark brown leather strap is included in a waterproof presentation case.
The price of the model is EUR 1,490.
