The first Royal Oak Automatic Flying Tourbillon has been introduced by Audemars Piguet. Three 41mm references which are in stainless steel, titanium and 18kt rose gold have been launched and all of them feature a sophisticated dial design.
Michael Friedman who is the head of Complications for AP said: “The Royal Oak Tourbillon first made its debut in 1997 for the 25th anniversary of the Royal Oak. This latest evolution featuring the flying tourbillon and selfwinding mechanism reintroduces this modern classic with updated aesthetics for the new decade.”
Evolutive Tapisserie pattern is used for dials which are in smoked blue or smoked grey. Hour markers are white or rose gold and Royal Oak hands have luminescent coating. It is also available in sandblasted slate grey. Dials have 24kt gold Audemars Piguet signature. By using thin layers of gold, it is made via a chemical process named as galvanic growth. Letters are connected with thin links and then the signature is set on the dial.
The watch is available with a stainless steel, a titanium, or an 18kt rose gold bracelet. The bracelet has AP triple-blade folding clasp.
