Richard Mille has added two timepieces to its RM 07-01 Automatic Collection: RM 07-01 Automatic Starry Night, with its amazing star motifs, and RM 07-01 Automatic with an opulent and charming open- link bracelet arranged in red gold and Carbon TPT.
These newly introduced models feature Carbon TPT, a high-performance material that is both light and strong, providing the best retention of movement. Moreover, it offers a striking view of the surface patterns.
For the RM 07-01 Automatic Starry Night, the case and strap are completely made of Carbon TPT. The strap is just 29 grams. What makes this watch extraordinary is that the bezel and the dial are embellished with gem-set symbolizing heavenly bodies.
The brand shows its mastery of processing materials with the Starry Night. Unlike other materials such as gold and steel, Carbon TPT requires much more effort and special CNC machines to be processed and embellished with diamonds. Given the fact that the Starry Night has 181 diamonds, it is obvious to guess what kind of a technically difficult process it is.
As to RM 07-01 Automatic, which seem the perfect combination of two materials, the timepiece features a new take on the open-link bracelet. The combination of Carbon and red gold is also on the case with the gold bezel and carbon caseback. Polished bracelet and matte carbon create a surprising and beautiful contrast.
Both models are powered by in-house caliber CRMA2, which is a skeletonised automatic movement.
The price for RM 07-01 Automatic Starry Night is $268,000 and the price for RM 07-01 open-link red gold and Carbon TPT bracelet is $226,000.
