Omega, which has been the official timekeeper of America’s Cup has introduced Seamaster Diver 300m America’s Cup Chronograph so as to celebrate this amazing ocean battle with a timepiece that provides absolute precision even under pressure.
Having a classic Seamaster design, the timepiece has been enhanced with new features to make it the perfect companion for the boat racing.
The new chronograph lock-system, quick-change strap and water grip pushers are some of the greatest features that make the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup Chronograph perfectly fit for 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA.
The 44mm stainless steel case features a blue ceramic dial and bezel which has a white enamel diving scale.
Ergonomically designed soft-touch rubber pushers make it easier to work more efficiently and get a better handle on the watch.
On the caseback, “36th America’s Cup” and “Auckland 2021” are engraved and filled with blue lacquer.
The dial features laser-engraved wave-pattern symbolizing the tough waves encountered in the America’s cup.
There is a countdown indicator located in red anodized aluminum and central seconds chronograph hand which is also in red anodized aluminum on the dial.
The new Chrono Lock system enables to secure the chronograph functions in cases of need.
Since making errors should definitely be off the table during sailing, the lock makes it risk free at high speeds.
The pushers can be locked and unlocked by simply switching the trigger.
Powered by self-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900, which is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, it features a silicon balance-spring, time zone function, central hour, minute and chronograph seconds hands, small seconds hand, 12-hour and 60-minute recorders. The movement has a power reserve of 60 hours.
Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup Chronograph comes with a metal bracelet and additional rubber strap which are both equipped with new Quick Change system.
By simply pressing on a button, the pins are released to enable wearer change between the bracelet and strap in seconds.
The timepiece is presented in a special box in the colors of America’s Cup.
The price of the model is CHF9,500.
